saves+holds strategy

Joining a new H2H league this year that combines saves and holds into one category. Pitching lineup is SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P with 8 bench. Looking for strategy advice here.
With holds being added to the mix I should wait twice as long to draft RP, right?

Good RP tend to be worth more than bad RP but elite RP get devalued some. So I'd wait longer on the top RP but go more aggressively towards the middle ones.

Just curious, goldtop ... how does "saves and holds combined in one category" work? Straight up saves+holds=category?

If so, this gives you a little more drafting flexibility ... in my holds league I target solid ratio and K/9 type late relievers, regardless of whether they're closers or set-up guys (many of which are 'next-in-line' closers anyway).

If this is your format, you might have a chance to draft a couple more useful bats or quality SP while others begin chasing name-brand closers, then swoop in later on some of these relievers who can help you across multiple categories. Good luck.
