I have Stanton. To get CarGo I'd most likely have to give up Stanton+. LF is extremely weak. Currently I have Victorino who's due to play RF this yr and will prob lose eligibility in LF. I also have Ludwick, Cody Ross, and maybe Chris Young if he qualifies there *shiver*. In RF I also have those 3 and Nelson Cruz. W/ the following hitting parameters, who would you rather have in a dynasty league, Stanton or CarGo?
1B Singles 1 point 2B Doubles 2 points 3B Triples 3 points BB Walks (Batters) 1 point HP Hit by Pitch 1 point HR Home Runs 4 points KO Strikeouts (Batter) -.5 points R Runs 1 point RBI Runs Batted In 1 point SB Stolen Bases 2 points SF Sacrifice Flies 1 point SH Sacrifice Hits 1 point
Thanks! WHIR

I say go Cargo. He is 4 yrs older which isn't a plus but he is going to be playing in a better ballpark then Stanton this year and prolly next year as well. I think Cargo has the better next 4-5 yrs compared to Stanton. I like Stanton don't get me wrong but the Marlins control him and until they trade him that ballpark and lineup are not doing him any favors.
You're crazy to trade for home runs away for a guy who has been good every other year, Stanton played in that ball park last year and still damn near hit 40
He's probably going to ask me for Stanton, Mike Moore, and who knows what else for CarGo...his last offer to me was this:
Carlos Gonzalez, Greg Holland, Albert Pujols, Travis d'Arnaud and Eric Surkamp for Andrew McCutchen, Mike Olt, Bubba Starling, Tim Hudson and Eric Hosmer
Here's my team and the league parameters (14-team, pts, h2h)...remember, it's dynasty, so as nice as Pujols looks, not sure I want to lose Hosmer/Cutch for him/Cargo. Important to note we only use 8 SP per week:
C Perez, Salvador 1B Hosmer, Eric 2B Pedroia, Dustin 3B Cabrera, Miguel SS Andrus, Elvis LF Victorino, Shane (LF/CF) CF McCutchen, Andrew RF Stanton, Giancarlo U Cruz, Nelson
Bench Scutaro, Marco (2B,3B,SS) Rutledge, Josh (SS) Ludwick, Ryan (LF,RF) Ross, Cody (CF,LF,RF) Young, Chris (CF)
Pitchers SP Dickey, R.A. SP Moore, Matt SP Sanchez, Anibal SP Verlander, Justin SP Weaver, Jered RP Madson, Ryan RP Hernandez, David RP Papelbon, Jonathan RP Peralta, Joel

I give CarGo a slight edge this year.....but Stanton is a bit younger, which gives him a slight edge long=term in a Dynasty league.
So if Cargo fits your roster better than Stanton, then by all means make the trade.
But you would be way overpaying if you gave up Stanton AND Morrow for CarGo.........considering that Stanton and CarGo are basically equal in value.
If you have to throw in some chump to make him feel like he won, fine......but I wouldn't include anybody of real value in a Stanton for CarGo trade. And by "chump", I am looking at Ryan Ludwick....or maybe a minor leaguer who isn't a top prospect.
I am not that up and up on dynasty leagues, but I wouldnt trade stanton plus, for cargo, I do on the other hand like the offer he gave you, u loose cutch, but u gain pujols and cargo, and I know its a dynasty but are u not also trying to win as well...Me I would take the deal, and next year trade pujols for some younger talent to a team that has a chance to win that year...does this make sense
Cargo is a product of coors field look at his home road split. Stanton still has the potential to be the best power hitter in the game. Mccutchen is on the verge of breaking out. here's a link to look at cargos splits http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7934/splits
I like CarGo more than most but if you have to give up something like Stanton and Morrow for him, that is too much. If the other guy won't budge, keep Stanton and be happy when he hits 40 bombs.
