Heyward and a 3rd rounder after keepers (pick 220 after factoring in keepers) for Braun and a 5th rounder (pick 259 after factoring in keepers)

Take the proven elite player and run or is there something to the Braun and PED stuff I should worry about?

Keep Braun. For the MLB to punish Braun he will have to test positive. The collective bargaining agreement makes it near impossible for him to get punished just for his name showing up on documents.

it's never a bad thing when you get the best player in a deal.

And there is very little difference between pick 220 and 259.....in both cases the pick is going to be a high risk, limited up-side type guy.

This deal is a steal (assuming you are the guys getting Braun). Actually, it's not 100% clear which side you are on......so if you already have Braun, then tell the other guy to kick rocks!

Ya know Heyward is great but Braun is a top 3 producer...

No way I would give up braun for what he's offering. Ask for way more to fill various holes or sit back and watch braun produce.
