Profar or Myers

I have been offered Wil Myers and Jake Peavy, for Jurickson Profar. It is a keeper lg. I already have Jose Reyes at shortstop, and Brandon Phillips at 2B. Also, I have Austin Jackson and Hunter Pence in the outfield, but not sure of keeping Pence. I think Myers will hit more soon, but not really sure how big a hitter Profar will be, as he is only 19. Which way would you go? Should I take it?

myers over profar for me...texas has too many people blocking this kid...make the deal

They are both elite fantasy prospects, almost equal in value, all things being equal. This is one where your team composition matters a lot. If your OF isn't that strong and you have Jose Reyes, I'd rather have Myers.

I'd take the Myers/Peavy offer. Myers is going to be the better offensive force then Profar, and Myers and Peavy are more likely to starting earning their keep sooner then Profar.

SS isn't as weak as it used to be, a toolsy OF can be just as hard to find , and Reyes is only 30 I think so should still have lots of gas in the tank. I would go for the deal .....

You're talking about prospects #1 and #1A, so it's hard to go wrong.

But I gotta agree with the others here....the makeup of your team makes Myers the better option......and Myers is also more likely to pay dividends sooner rather than later.

When Peavy gets thrown into the deal, the trade really becomes a winner for you.....i would go for it.

I would pass it up. Keep Profar. Myers will be a bust.

Thanks guys. I'm inclined to take the Myers/Peavy part of the deal. That would leave me with having to pick 3 from this list. I'm leaning toward keeping Jackson, Cueto, and either Peavy or Homer Bailey. What do you all
think?

Already have James Shields as my #1 SP, and no other OF, but of course I would plug in Myers as soon as he gets called up from minors. Haren is last on my list due to age and starting to have injuries.
