the Jays want to contend in the AL East. hit Granderson of the Yankees, break his arm, make him miss time, hurts the Yankees.
ok probably not a conspiracy.
Granderson is expected back around early May.
obviously hurt his fantasy value.
what do the Yankees do?
can they go with someone already on roster like Eduardo Nunez? or would they be forced to trade for someone new?
First off, if it were a conspiracy, they would take out Cano not the K machine Granderson. Happ probably put it in the only spot Granderson would not take a hack at lol.
Barring some bargain bin offer replacement being offered to them, they ain't doing anything. Think Juan Rivera and Matt Diaz in left with Gardner in center. Yanks are in cheap mode weighed down by bad contracts to Arod, Tex and others, an aging team and an owner that is intent on making as much as he can\keeping away from long term problems while he waits to see if he can get max dollars from someone to sell the team to in the next few years imo. They already sold 49% of the Yes network to News corp. The Steinbrenners are looking to cash out imo. The talk of a long term deal to Cano with Boras in the mix I think is just a smoke screen to placate the fan base. I just can't see them spending that kind of money long term on a guy that is not the face of the franchise \a marketing and public relations gold mine like Jeter is.
