Either way....Trumbo seems like a safe pick for such little money. If you do drop Verlander, BJ upton is your next pick...but if you are a gambling man....go Will Myers for $2. Thats a nice young duo with Myers and Trout for $2 each. Just an idea!!!
10x10 dynasty keeper auction, there is no way he would get verlander cheaper then what he has him for already....he would go for $40 and above, why, because there is always "that guy" in every draft....lol

Guys I'm Definitely Keeping: Ryan Braun - $40 Mike Trout - $2 Justin Verlander - $34 Chase Headley - $2
I have to pick one more out of these: Mark Trumbo - $3 (Yahoo league, so 1B/3B/OF Eligible) B.J. Upton - $13 ; Jeff Samardzija - $2 Max Scherzer - $8 Jesus Montero - $2 Wil Myers - $2 (Yahoo league, so Catcher Eligible!) Trevor Bauer - $2
I'm leaning towards Trumbo, because I think he will probably go around $10-$12. What do you think?
Also, if you leave me a link I'll help back.
Ok, here's the deal, keepers are based on gained value and the gained value of Braun at $40 is about $3 and Trumbo is $11. The problem I have is that you stat a 10x10 and I don't know the 10 cats. About some of your keepers, I think you could get Braun for $47 even with inflation factored in and Scherzer is worth $18 and at $8 that is great value. How I look at auctions is this, I try to keep the most value before the auction in keepers so I have more $$ entering the auction, that does not mean keeping cheap players, it means keep the players who have the most gained value. Anyone can keep or purchase 3-4 $40 players, but they will never win the league. Find value in your keepers and you will have the added value you are looking for when the auction is completed. Also, NEVER over pay for anyone!
I'd keep Trumbo and keep Verlander too. He will go for more than 34 in the draft and there is arguably no one better or more consistent than him at SP.
Thanks for all the opinions...sounds like Trumbo is the way to go. FYI the main reason I'm keeping Braun is all the top 10 OFs are probably going to be kept this year. Also, one guy's strategy the first year was to hoard all the best SPs--he keeps 5 per year (and its why he came in last last year) so Verlander is a bit of a hot commodity.
I would throw out Braun and keep Upton and Trumbo. Your BA will suffer a bit but with your other options you will win pitching and blow away in power and speed so its ok. Maybe for your utility slots grab up cheap options like Juan Pierre that hit for a good average and what not that will steady out that cat for you.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
