Has anyone ever done a CBS online auction draft?
Our league has always done live in-person drafts and we averaged around 3.5 hours - this is our first year doing it online. I did a couple of mock auction drafts on CBS, and the timer (for bidding and for nominating) is set at 15 seconds, and that seemed VERY fast.
You can set the timers for as much as 60 seconds, but it seems like if I do that, the draft could take forever, especially if teams wait until "going twice..." to bid, which re-sets the clock. Plus, at the end when everyone is just finishing out their roster with $1 scrubs, that 60 seconds will feel like forever.
I'm hoping that if I set the clocks at 20 or 25 seconds, we might at least have a chance at finishing in around 4 hours (we're a 10 team league with keepers, so each team has 17 players to draft), but I really have no idea. It would be great if I could adjust the clocks mid-draft, but CBS doesn't let you do that.
If anyone has ever done a CBS online auction draft, I'd be grateful for any comments/advice.
Thanks!!
