Not sure. Looks like his last two outings were good, so that would have been my guess, but their first reaction was to go to K-Rod. I saw on another site where someone thought Kintzler might have a shot to move into the closer role. Anyone buying Kintzler?

I just watched the end of the Angles game from last night. I note that Frieri (righty) and Burnett (lefty) were both warming during the 9th when Richards closed it out.

I personally haven't heard anything about Kintzler. Just to confirm that Henderson's out: http://www.adn.com/2013/05/25/2915531/brewers-closer-henderson-out-with.html. Then, per https://twitter.com/AdamMcCalvy/status/338135185067487232:

If Henderson misses time, RRR spoke of going closer by committee for a while. K-Rod, Axford, MGonzalez all have experience in that role.

If I had to rank the committee, from what I've read, I'd do it as follows:
1. K-Rod
2. Axford
3. Gonzalez
4. Kintzler (haven't read anything about him being involved besides here, so not completely sure he belongs on the list)

Nice to see Jim Johnson getting a clean save. Blowing three straight can really mess with a guy's head.

No. Wasn't used yesterday after Henderson got hurt and was used today in the 8th when the Brewers were 4 runs down. Doesn't look like they want Axford to go near the 9th again anytime soon.

Rodney blows another one. I am sure everyone already has Peralta, but if not, go get him. Maddon is very loyal, but he has to do something soon. Peralta is pitching lights out and Rodney can't hold a lead anymore. Farnsworth is garbage this year and will not be the closer. Its Peralta or Rodney and I think you will see Peralta in that spot soon

Anybody watch Betancourt tonight? Did he look OK, or could he land on the DL?

What's the latest news on the Rays/Cubs situations? Are we still waiting for Rodney and Gregg to have (more) meltdowns?
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

If you need saves today and tomorrow you have to go with K-Rod since Rodney is still the man according to Maddon.

Long term, i'd rather have Peralta as i don't believe Rodney will hold the job too much longer.
