Benoit has always had issues pitching back to back days. The whole situation is a mess if Rondon doesn't nail it.
Honestly, being a Tigers homer, my money is on an outright committee if Rondon can't get the job. Coke is a definite no considering he likely is the only LHP they'll be carrying in the pen. The brass will not overuse Alburquerque and let him pitch many back-to-backs. As silverZ said, Benoit is terrible when he pitches the day before. In 2012, on days where he had pitched the previous game, Benoit had a 4.50 ERA and 1.41 WHIP.

I believe so.
Yup. Both Janssen and Santos are dealing with shoulder injuries. If both break camp with a clean bill of health it will be Janssen's job for as long as he's effective.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!
I've been hearing that Jannsen's current shoulder injury has been lingering, while Santos has been throwing seeds for the past couple weeks. If I was drafting today I would avoid Jannsen and target Santos a couple rounds later.

I think teams will go with the best RP they have even if he is injury prone. They can either use a secondary closer with the better RP getting most save chances, or just go with the best until he gets hurt. They want wins and cant go with lesser talent just because a pitcher might get hurt.
Grabbing a teams 2 top RPs is the price you pay if you don't grab better closers earlier in the draft. I suppose a player that contributes more to your overall team performance is more important.
Though sometimes you pay the price. Last year I ended up with 1 closer, and of course I could not trade him for anything of worth, nor could I trade for a 2nd closer because of ridiculous demands. As per usual, I'm offered urine and poop for my players and asked for prime players when the situation is reversed. More so if I'm in dire straits.

Janssen appeared in the game against the Red Sox today and looked good. It's a good sign that he has a chance to go North with the team (though I'm sure they'll see how his shoulder reacts).
Then again Santos also appeared in the game and also looked good.
