That's what I figured.

What bout Boston, is the Bailey injury a concern?

Motte is supposed to be throwing off the mound soon too. If he makes it back healthy I assume the job is his though they may ease him back into it.

Yup. There is a chance Hanrahan does a half decent job and runs away with it. Bailey is definitely the best pitcher, but Hanrahan is good enough to pitch in the 9th and keep the job. He didn't look all that great IMO last night against the bottom of the lineup, but that's just one game.

Best case scenario for Bailey owners is that he isn't out for long and Hanrahan doesn't get another save opp. Or that Hanrahan blows a save, which would be ideal, obv. If Bailey goes on the DL, tough for him to get the job back unless Hanrahan implodes.

TJ surgery for Jason Motte:

Jason Motte will undergo Tommy John surgery on his right elbow on Monday.
Motte held out hope that he could rehab the injury, but he finally opted for surgery after he felt discomfort while throwing Friday. The 30-year-old right-hander will miss the entire 2013 season and could have a late start in 2014. While it's a tough break for the Cardinals, Edward Mujica has emerged as a strong replacement at closer in recent weeks.

What are everyone's thoughts on Street right now? Seems like velocity is down a bit and his numbers so far are pretty bad (only 11 innings though).

I'd be handcuffing Thayer like nobody's business...I don't think they go with Gregerson. I think it's almost inevitable that Street hits the DL at least once a season.

I'd have to think Mujica's leash just got a lot longer with the Boggs news. I'm glad I own him where i do.

Kirk Gibson just came out and said "JJ is my closer". This usually means one thing. Countdown to David Hernandez in 3... 2... 1...

I think the fact Hernandez has looked so mediocre is the one thing keeping Putz in the role.
