He requested? Where does he get off? You don't make requests. At least not until you earn your stripes. You stfu and do as you're told.

That said, he is far more valuable as a starter. He is starting. Most pitchers who can start, and pitch well as starters, are more valuable as starters. Look at Sale. Only mediocre or injured starters, end up as closers. Like Gagne, Smoltz, and a few others.
I love mock drafts.

Chapman has 2 pitches, he really should not be a starter with that repertoire. His control is also very suspect and the more hitters see this the more likely he is to walk guys. This is probably the correct move in this situation even though 90% of the time I suggest an ace level guy to become a starter if given the chance.

Poor Broxton owners. I guess they can bank on some holds, if your league counts them. :~(

question, in my league, where saves are always tight, this might be a factor

Kimbrel vs Chapman, whose the first closer off the board, Chapman has SP status in ESPN leagues fwiw

Jason Motte - Mild elbow strain - DL likely

Boggs and (to a lesser extent) Rosenthal will be hot pickups.

Kimbrel for sure. Motte before Chapman too to be honest if not for the injury, that is what pushed Chapman into the #2 slot for me. I am not a believer in his BB% from July/August at all. I think chapman sits at 8.5% most months and spikes to 10%+ in his bad months. At the end of the year it is more like 10% or higher and not what we saw last year. That chips away at his ERA and his WHIP but probably doesn't hurt his K or SV all that much.

RJ had two pitches. I really don't see the harm in trying him as a starter but I guess we will never know now.

Unbelievable. Broxton owners? What about Chapman owners? Many were banking on him being a starter. You just got screwed out of 12-14 wins, 200K+, and Top 5 SP quality Era/Whip, AND you probably need another starter.

Unless a good SP pops up on the wire and you're able to grab him, you'll have to overpay for an equal starter. I see blood. A chance to take out a team before the season even begins.
