I have 9 spots filled, with 3 looking it over for 12, and the potential for up to 20, if you take one of the last few spots. Not one player has backed out after seeing the rules!!
I have been in the fantasy commissioner business for over 10 years and playing for longer. I have leagues like this in football and hockey, that have complex rules that try to copy the actual leagues transaction of waivers, free agents, (In this case MLB). Not to worry, with the complexity of the league, the player only need to understand his options, and the commish will do the rest. I want to get people in fast, so we have time to read over the constitution, and get all the payments in before the draft on Saturday March 16th @ 6PM EST. The draft date is not negotiable. League safe is set up for the league, and is mandatory as well. I will not accept checks or paypal for this league.
Here's the details:
5X5 roto scoring: Batters: HR, BA, RBI, OPS, SB Pitching; ERA, S, SO, W, WHIP
40 man rosters, 18 active, 7 reserve, 5 DL, 10 minors (all active and reserves must be under contract in order to play) Salary cap of $350, with salaries set through yearly auction draft.
Minors for raw rookies, (less than 130 AB, or 50 innings pitched), younger players on optional assignment, and minor league contracts. A player with less than 2 years experience can be put on optional assignment, and can be freely shuttled between the minors and your active reserve rosters.
Contracts are limited to age, and performance. Resigning is possible after contracts expire, contract options possible for teams to tack on additional year to a contract before it expires. 1 year contracts can be dropped during the season, but longer contracts cannot be dropped into free agent pool.
Contract options for letting a player go,.. 1 per year only,...buyouts, designation for assignment and waive a player. Minor leagues contracts for lessor players, 1 year contract only and must be dropped at end of year.
Reduction of salary for traded players to stimulate trading, and help with inflation in the future.
This will be a great league for the years to come, and your chance to get in the ground floor is now. As mentioned, I have done this with football and hockey, and they have little or no turnover.
$100 buy in for your team.
PM me here at the cafe with an e-mail address, and I will get you a look. CBS now has options with invites, so that you can look over the league without joining the league.
Time is short, do not hesitate.
Thanks
Brad
