Need help with last kEEper - WHIR

Postby SlayeratCP » Mon Feb 11, 2013 10:06 am

Here is my team from the end of last year:
Wieters, Matt C - BAL
Rizzo, Anthony 1B,INF - CHC
Altuve, Jose 2B,INF - HOU
Phillips, Brandon 2B,INF - CIN
Headley, Chase 3B,INF - SD
Lowrie, Jed SS,INF - OAK
Machado, Manny 3B,INF - BAL
Ramirez, Hanley 3B,SS,INF - LAD
Butler, Billy 1B,INF - KC
Hamilton, Josh OF - LAA
Jennings, Desmond OF - TB
Jones, Adam OF - BAL
Ludwick, Ryan OF - CIN
McCutchen, Andrew OF - PIT
Buehrle, Mark SP - TOR
Cahill, Trevor SP - ARI
Gonzalez, Gio SP - WAS
Haren, Dan SP - WAS
Jackson, Edwin SP - CHC
Lannan, John SP - PHI
Maholm, Paul SP - ATL
Marcum, Shaun SP - NYM
Parker, Jarrod SP - OAK
Shields, James SP - KC
Tillman, Chris SP - BAL
Volquez, Edinson SP - SD

It's a total points league with more weight on pitching than hitting. I can keep 5 guys. Right now I am thinking of keeping the following:
McCutchen
Hamilton
Gio
Shields

The other one is probably going to be between Butler, Headley, and Jones. What do you think?

I keep the best 5, gio scares me with possible suspension; the hitters upside are better than keeping a P like Shields

Thanks for your input on my JJ/McCann issue.

Yours is a tough call. I agree with the 4 you have listed, but am also concerned with Gio's status. Of your other bats, I wouldn't give up on Hanley or possibly even Wieters. But if you're dead set on one of the other guys, Jones is your man.

It would help to know how your points are set

With all things being equal I would keep Hanley.

What's wrong with gio?

Do people think he's going to get a suspension from the allegations or just regress a bit without the ped help?

Since your league ways pitching more than hitting I would go like this.
