I am not a Johnson fan, but agree with the others that you have to go with the SP in this case. McCann is no sure thing, as his shoulder will not be 100% until late April or so and even then, it will take him a while to get back to where he was. I'd trade Johnson this spring, as he only has a single 200 IP season in his seven professional seasons. that is garbage.

please see my "Would I be crazy not to keep Dickey?" post. thanks.

You almost have to go with Johnson. McCann is just too lowly rated AND possibly missing time.

Worse comes to worse, I think you could trade Johnson post-draft for a better hitter than McCann.

I like Anderson a lot too, but Johnson will give you the Ks. Besides, I agree that if you're lucky, you might still grab him in your draft even if you drop him.

What do you mean lowly rated?
McCann ADP is higher then JJ at MDC.

I meant ranked, not ADP. JJ is ranked higher than McCann on ESPN, CBS, Yahoo, Rotowire and at Couch Managers (rankings on CM). To be fair, McCann's ADP on CM is two spots higher than JJ. Sorry for any confusion.

I only recommend McCann because he has decent pitching keepers already. I think McCann will be ready after a little while ;-D
