Rosters are entered and the league will go live tomorrow at 7:30am ET. If Urban has not picked by then, I will fill his last spot with the next available player according to Yahoo rankings.

Yeah you rock. ;-D

Also loved that you consistently contributed in the discussion thread. ;-D ;-D

League is now active. Waiver order has been reset to reverse of draft order.

Straily, Daniel (Oak - P) was assigned to Urban Cohorts.

Make sure you get your lineup set as Yahoo defaults everyone to your bench at first. We had a dude in Pond Scum last year not get his first week lineup set in time and it really screwed him.

any idea when yahoo will allow shifts to DL? if it's not until the first game, guys starting the season on DL would have to be in our lineups for the first week....which sucks
if we can make sure we can move guys to DL prior to the season starting then teams with injured players can make the necessary pickups

This is entirely dependent on when the actual MLB decides to put the player on the DL. It's not a Yahoo thing. The problem is that many teams wait until the very last minute which screws us all!

From Yahoo:

DL (Disabled List) eligibility
In order to be placed into the DL position for Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball, the player must be on the official MLB disabled list. It is entirely up to the MLB team to designate a player on the DL, and if a player is injured it doesn't mean the player is automatically placed on the MLB disabled list.
Timing: Players will be made eligible for the DL position in Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball as soon as possible, after they are placed there in real life. In most cases, this will occur the morning following the transaction, during our nightly system update.

On game day: A player may be activated from the MLB disabled list on the day of a game. If a Fantasy manager places them into their active lineup for that day, they will receive scoring for the statistics earned by that player.
During the All-Star break, a team may announce that a player will be placed on the DL. This only indicates the club's intention to place him on the DL. Until the player is actually put on the official Major League Baseball DL, he cannot be placed into the DL position in Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball.

Prior to the season, in many cases a team will announce that a player will start the season on the DL. This only indicates the club's intention to place him on the DL. Until the player is actually put on the official Major League Baseball DL, he cannot be placed into the DL position in Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball. Most actual transactions will not take place until just prior to that particular team's first game of the season. This means that the player will be given DL status following the nightly update after their team plays their first regular-season game.

Rance Mulliniks wrote:A question about our in-season waivers and Yahoo settings - I know we aren't able to draft players who have no MLB experience, even if they're on a roster. Shouldn't that be the same for claiming someone on waivers? If so, our Yahoo settings for "New Players Become Available" should be "Wait until called up to Majors", right?
