I was a little surprised to see Kershaw go so early. Granted, this is my first draft of the season so maybe it's just me. Thinking about it, you can afford to do that towards the back of the draft with your next pick not far away if you believe a pitcher of Kershaw's caliber won't be available on the way back and you think you'll be able to snag a comparable bat.

Wasn't really a fan of the offensive options when Prince was taken. I'm thinking combining Kershaw with hitters in the 2nd and 3rd (and 4th) is going to be better than combining a Round 3 ace with hitters in the first two rounds.
I can't believe how much I sweated over my second round pick, eventually settling on Harper. I'm going all in on this kid. Only time will tell if I just blew my draft or not.

Well, that does help me feel better about it. But it is amazing how all over the map the projections and rankings are between him and the two or three other guys I was considering at that spot. What sealed it for me is how he was playing at the end of the season. Now all I can do is sit back and pray that there is no sophomore slump.
