In the drafts I've seen on the Cafe and elsewhere, Harper is no worse than an early 3rd rounder. I doubt Harper would have lasted long on the board, given his upside despite a lack of an established floor for him.
I was close to taking Justin Upton but felt Kershaw was a "safer" choice. Based off my experience doing these kinds of leagues, the teams with the best ratios tend to win. So, I'm off to a good start with my pitching.
Just a heads up I have created a spreadsheet listing the updated rosters. Myself and sportsguy will update this throughout the draft. Sportsguy will add the link in each round to access the spreadsheet.

Draft results also has the link to the spreadsheet.
Thanks rvthd. Big help. There's no longer a need to update players taken and draft results threads.
I have no problem with Harper as early as round 1. Sure you are gambling on unproven numbers but the talent is that of someone that comes along once in a generation. Weather he pans out or not doesn't matter, he has never to this point had a major injury, and in my humble opinion rounds 1-3 are where you want to limit your injury risk. If he gets his 500 ABs and improves I fully expect him to be a mid round 1 pick in 2014 based on this year's numbers. I applaud picking him early.

I'm ok with a 2nd round pick, but I would not take him in the first just yet. That leaves no return on investment. I am huge on Bryce ... even somewhat bullish. However, his all-out style of play could lead to injury ... even if there has not been injuries 'yet'. There are too many proven talents in round 1 to risk Harper there.

Well since JUp and Heyward are gone I'm guessing its BJ Upton.
