To be fair in a league with no bench injury risk players are much lower risk than upside type players. Ellsbury kind of fits into both categories though. Someone like Harper being drafted in the 2nd is way more risk than say where he picked Votto though. If Harper steps back for this year you got 162 games of failure. If Votto gets hurt you get to replace him.

Thanks. I don't have any need for it now, just figure it'll be useful at some point.

I don't know. It has been my experience that disappointing season from Harper will still out perform a guy off the WW in this league
That's for sure. Harper has 100/25/25 upside at a medium ebb, and that's going to play in most leagues. I guess the bar for second round picks should maybe be higher than 'better than replacement' but I think Harper has better upside than just 'slightly better than replacement level'. With no bench I think we need to look at upside a little differently than other leagues do too.

All I can say is last year when I had guys under perform it felt like it was just destroying my team in this league. Especially if they gave the guy 3 days off to get his head straight etc. I'd much rather have a guy just get hurt. In a league with a bunch if one of your guys is struggling you can bench him and get a replacement until he turns it around, in this league you are just stuck with them.

When? As far as I can tell I'm the only guy who's tried to draft him in this league...

Sorry, I looked at players taken thread and missed that it wasn't up to date at the end. I switched my pick.
