I almost picked him last round. I hoped he'd fall to me this round...

It was between him and Pierre for me, until it was just him. Hoping the extra light pop will make up for some of Pierre's bases.

Lorenzo's interesting here. He certainly has nice potential, but this could really be a make or break season for him. Lot of hungry Royals players behind him in that system if he has a tough first half or continues to spend time on the DL.

Yeah, we are definitely getting into that 'make or break' section of the draft. I imagine a lot of guys I draft from this round and beyond will enjoy at least a cup of coffee with the team, then possibly (and quickly) pack their bags. We'll see, I'm hoping that Cain picks up some of the hype from last offseason before he went down for a lengthy bit.

That Pierre picked pushed Mookie into the clear preseason favorite according to my projections. Still some rounds for you to screw it up though... Pierre seems to be a guy that every single team wants around this time of the draft, but nobody wants to reach for him either.

Mine have him completely middle of the pack but I'm not big on a lot of the guys he took where I could see others rating them higher. He has a high risk high reward type of squad so I think projections will vary wildly on that team. As for Pierre he is very meh in this league. I like him a lot more in a league with a bench since I don't think he will play every day for that team which is trying to get the young guys experience. Obviously expectations can't be too high for a guy drafted in the 17th round so that is fine, I'm just not as high on him as some.

I'm not one of those guys lining up for Pierre. He is basically a one-cat player now, even as a leadoff man, and could well be in a platoon situation.

I don't think it matters if Pierre plays everyday, I still think he's going to get 30 steals without hurting average. There's no player at this point of the draft who can give you a 6-7 point bump in one category without killing your average other than Pierre.
