I think Shields went where he should compared to the other pitchers taken. Pitchers went a bit late in general. The Royals are still not a great defensive team and Molina saves a ton of runs for those pitchers. Shields will not repeat last year.

Yeah, there go the last of the higher tier arms that were in complete free fall. Awesome. J-Zimm in the 8th is great value. ;-D

I had a list of pitchers that I hoped would make it back to me, when I picked in the 7th. Exactly one was left. :-)

I love it when those lists work out. It doesn't happen as much in these leagues, but it's nice when it does. I just pre-empted Latos last round when I was pretty certain the run on that tier was going to happen (they weren't dropping into the 9th round).

Congrats all around gents. ;-D That was possibly the most successful game of pitcher chicken I've ever been a part of in a normal league.

I don't love him but I had to pull the trigger. Outside of Detroit the AL Central is weak on hitting and if nothing else, he should rack up K's.

The Indians and White Sox should hit, even the Royals should some (obviously doesn't matter to him). They are no AL East though obviously!

I don't think the current tier of pitching has been depleted.

Edit: Never mind, didn't see that Sale went.

Not really, it was more about how long we collectively waited to finish off that tier. :-)

Your original thought was right until my pick. Chapman was still available.
