12 team H2H league. 8 Keepers of which we've narrowed down to 12. One of the other managers has expressed an interest in upgrading his final 8 and I have some extra players who I'd otherwise have to throw back into the player pool. Here are my 12:
*top 8, but I'm having a hard time throwing Jennings/Rios back to the pool and wonder if I should kick out one of the pitchers in favor. Don't love the fact that I'm going 5/3 and would rather be 6/2.
If I were going to move a Jennings/Rios/Cruz what should I be looking for? I'd be surprised if he was willing to part with his 1st round pick (essentially 9th round), but if he won't do that should I expect a 2nd and 3rd in return? I really have no clue...
I would keep those 3 SP. I prefer Rizzo over Goldy, but i doubt some do. You won't get a 1st, and i doubt Rios or Cruz get interest. I would offer Jennings/Goldschmidt or Rizzo/ Jennings for a 2nd?

Definitely cut Rios and Cruz those are easy cuts. Jennings and Rizzo I have a hard time throwing back. Sure you can't keep 10?
That would make an insane list of keepers. I hate throwing Rizzo+Jennings back seriously. God that is painful. Definitely trade Rizzo+Jennings for a top round pick that is worth it if you can swing it (and get a top tier talent with that pick - 2nd round not enough).
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
Yeah, this hurts. I didn't finish my original post I guess. Would you move one of the SP's to get Rizzo into the top 8? I can let Jennings go, not sure that he is going to live up to the hype.

I agree at least a 1st rounder and maybe two high round picks
Well I guess you could move a pitcher if it means upgrading your keepers a great deal and letting you keep Rizzo I guess so.
Think I"d go young if you can move Wainwright for legit upgrade sure get on it. Maybe a package of one of those spare OF and Wainwright and land you a keeper SS (Andrus or Castro?)

I think you go another route, go to teams that are week in keepers and do a 3-1, you have the extras and your 7-8-9-10 are all rather close in value, so offer up 3 of them for a clear upgrade. If you think about it, the 1st round pick, really the 9th round is not going to have tons of value. Do whatever you have to do to make a trade work out.
Keep in mind that if you just hold tight its likely you can redraft at least one of the guys you cut. If you trade away 3 of them thats not gonna happen. Also you dont want to significantly improve another team, while only slightly upgrading your own team (an extra player around ADP ~90 is not going to make your team that much better)
