Hey everyone,
I was hoping maybe some auction vets might be able to point me in the right direction for rotisserie auctions. This is my 3rd year and I've not fared well at all the last two. I've played in 4 leagues and haven't been able to finish higher than 8th in any of them. I think I may have an idea what I'm doing wrong but I really want to do well this year so don't want to fix something if I'm already doing it right.
The approach I take toward the auctions is usually sitting back and letting everyone over spend early. It seems like every one that I've done, the top guys like Cabrera, Cano, Braun etc all get over paid when the bidding is done. I'm so hesitant to over spend early because I try to have balance across my entire lineup.
I guess what I'm asking is, are there any particular approaches you all take when participating in an auction. Do you typically sit back like I do, or are you not afraid to get in there and spend early? Do you tend to set your limits a little higher than what your projections indicate should be right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
