Who should I keep?

Postby clydehop » Sat Feb 09, 2013 2:25 am

I'm in a 14 Team Roto League. I can keep 4 from the following list. All for around $5.00. Who should I keep and why?

Adam Wainwright
Jason Kipnis
Carlos Beltran
Martin Prado
Derek Jeter
Wil Middlebrooks
Jonathan Lucroy
Homer Bailey
Kenley Jansen
Kyle Lohse

Wainwright your best player
Kipnis still nice upside
Beltran, still good for 20/80

I think those 3 are locks

I don't like the 4th option.
Jansen is great, but why keep a non closer?
Prado is decent, but i probably go Middlebrooks

Agree with Hootie in that Wainright is your best player- he is a must keep. Kipnis is an up and comer and should improve. Middlebrooks is also a good young player who should improve. I'd go Jansen as my final keeper. He is young and is the most talented imo. If Brandon League is ineffective or gets injured- you've got a good young closer on your squad for cheap.

I'm not a believer in Beltran. He is up there in years and is a risk imo. If you think he repeats last years numbers he is a must keeper- I don't which is why I'd let him go. A healthy Jeter makes this a tough decision, but he isn't a spring chicken either, so I gave the nod to Jansen. Overall I'm biased toward the younger players. Good luck!

I'm not all that high on Middlebrooks but he's probably the best you got for the 4th spot.
