I am in need of some keeper advice. I am in and espn h2h points league and this year we are doing keepers. We are allowed 2 undroppable keepers, and 2 droppable keepers and next year we are upping it to 7 keepers no restrictions. I have a pickle with both choices. As of now I am thinking trout and Cano as my 2 undroppable keepers, then I saw the list of players that the other owners are keeping and there will not be a hands down Ace SP left on the draft board. So Kershaw started to look pretty attractive as a keeper, he is 25 vs Cano being 30 and Kershaw.
First question who to keep Trout and Cano or Trout and Kershaw. (if it helps I can post the list of all the Keepers from my league)
the next question is about my droppable keepers, right now I have Wieters and Freeman with the hope that he (freeman) will have a break out season. Are those the two best droppable keepers. I have lots of other thoughts, for example if I keep kershaw should I keep Aaron Hill? I am huge braves fan so I would like to keep Medlen and or Kimbrel but yea. Who to keep. I am open to anything basically I am just sure about keeping Trout.
Matt Wieters, Bal C K Freddie Freeman, Atl 1B K Dan Uggla, Atl 2B Chipper Jones, Atl 3B Robinson Cano, NYY 2B K undroppable Anthony Rizzo, ChC 1B Curtis Granderson, NYY OF undroppable Mike Trout, LAA OF K undroppable Tyler Colvin, Col OF, 1B Ben Revere, Phi OF Kevin Youkilis, NYY 3B, 1B Jose Bautista, Tor OF undroppable Aaron Hill, Ari 2B Michael Bourn, FA OF Brian McCann, Atl C DTD
Clayton Kershaw, LAD SP undroppable Brandon Morrow, Tor SP Tommy Milone, Oak SP Ryan Vogelsong, SF SP Kris Medlen, Atl RP, SP Chris Tillman, Bal SP Phil Hughes, NYY SP Lance Lynn, StL SP Andy Pettitte, NYY SP Craig Kimbrel, Atl RP
If you are allowed 4 total keepers: Trout, Cano, Bautista, Kershaw Does it matter 'drop status' or not. That is ridiculous rules.
Trout/Kershaw for undroppables I suppose. Droppables hmm...no one really jumps out. I'd just keep your two 'undroppables' and take the extra picks and get top tier talent that you are throwing away if I'm reading right.
I hate leagues like this.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
the League I am in is a bunch of buddies and this is the first time we are doing some keepers. But they are here to stay, the idea is to expand t0 7 keepers next year. we would like to also get into the money drafts not sure what they are called but where the players have costs and the teams have caps.
so I am leaning twards kershaw over cano only because I plan on him being my "ace" for the next 5 to 8 years. while Cano has more value now, he will drop off more being a middle infielder in his 30s. Now if I take Kershsaw should I keep Aaron hill (to lock down a decent 2nd) or stay with wieters, who I think will be a top C for a while and freeman who I am hoping as a braves fan will keep improving.
just curious why no interest in keeping Wieters? I thought he was the best of my droppable keepers. I think I am set on Cano and Trout, but still going back and forth with wieters, freeman, medlen, rizzo and why not, I am considering kimbrel also

Wieters is good, but i rank him 5th of those 5. With only 4 keepers, i don't really want a C, unless it's Posey.
