It's a H2H standard points league, so perennially pitchers score more than hitters. I have Hanley Ramirez (3B/SS) so I would slide him to 3rd and obviously put Reyes at SS. What do you think?
Miguel Cabrera (3B/U) and Doug Fister (SP) for Justin Verlander (SP) and Jose Reyes (SS)
C: Buster Posey (C/1B/U) 1B: Joey Votto (1B/U) 2B: Brandon Phillips (2B/U) 3B: Miguel Cabrera (3B/U) SS: Hanley Ramirez (3B/SS/U) OF: Jason Heyward (OF/U) OF: Adam Jones (OF/U) OF: Austin Jackson (OF/U) U: Edwin Encarnacion (1B/U)
Bench: Brett Lawrie (3B/U)
SP: Matt Cain SP: Doug Fister SP: Brett Anderson SP: Matt Harrison SP: Jonathan Niese RP: Fernando Rodney RP: Kris Medlen (SP/RP)
Bench: Matt Harvey, Ryan Dempster, Jarrod Parker, AJ Griffin
Thanks for any input, feel free to make suggestions on the roster!
Keeper League Outfield: Justin Upton, Carlos Gonzalez, Mike Trout, Jason Heyward
Bleh, you don't need Reyes. I can see needing another stud starter, but I'd try to look elsewhere and not go over for #1. That's a pretty sick team. I would package Austin Jackson, Brett Lawrie, Doug Fister to that guy for his Verlander or go for a package of a slight upgrade to your OF-3 but with some risk and in his prime (like a Cespedes!) and quality ace like a Weaver.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
He's going to need saves, but he can probably work the wire early in the season. If he gets lucky on one or two, it should allow him to hold his own there while his offense and SP boosts his overall numbers.
Closers are still valuable but a RP that starts is the more valuable. Saves are 7 pts, Wins are 7 pts. E.g. Kris Medlen, Hisashi Iwakuma, Alexi Ogando to name a few. Iwakuma is on the waivers. Should I drop someone for him? As for closers there's JJ Putz, Bruce Rondon, Huston Street, Broxton, Brandon League. What do you think?
