I see one of the new changes in yahoo is this..
Continuous Waivers
Set all unowned players to be on waivers at all times and eliminate free agents

what specifically does this mean?
does this mean all players are in waiver priority, and you have to put in a waiver priority for everyone, and then wait the what 1-2 days for it to go through?
that really sucks! I personally had many many times where I would pick up a player I wanted the day before.
this change sucks, this sucks for streaming!

It's a commissioner option only dude
Search for Continuous Waivers in Yahoo Help and it will tell you all about it

Great feature! So, if I want to use FAAB for my weekly h2h league, and process waivers once or twice a week; I would set my league for continuous waivers. Is that correct?

Not sure if anyone here has done any Yahoo Mock drafts yet, but I haven't received my mock draft results via email like I specified. Is anyone else having any problems having mock draft results emailed?

Thanks for the heads up. I know we were having some problems with e-mail notifications; I'll follow up.

daullaz wrote:It's something Yahoo rolled out in the middle of last year due to overwhelming interest in having it available. I think the best way to implement the new setting is to have waivers run daily.

What it does is essentially stop the "mad rush" that happens when news breaks in baseball, whether it be a closer change, a prospect callup, etc. The person that gets the now-valuable guy ends up being the person who can get there first, which is problematic for owners that work jobs that don't allow them that opportunity or are otherwise unavailable to add players at the drop of a hat. When you consider that oftentimes it's the same 2-3 people taking advantage of news throughout the year, it's easy to see that there can be a large gap in the quality of teams between otherwise similar owners just depending on their everyday situations.

Spot on.
Many of us commissioners have been begging for this feature for a while.
It'll also give faab some teeth.

Great addition, and thanks again Genie.

I play in one private non keeper league with basically the same people, so the commissioner changed the settings to this. personally I hate it. I was someone who took advantage of this in years past. I have always loved making moves. it's part of what made it fun for me. I would/could take 1-2 hours looking up research for either spot starting a pitcher or picking up an offensive player(s) specifically for days where there aren't as many games like Mondays/Thursdays. now if I take that time and put in a claim, I still might not get that player.

Wow Genie, whats up with the player rankings versus the projections. I guess the rankings aren't tied to the projections for some reason. I read 3 pitchers in and saw a HUGE RED FLAG.
You guys project Kershaw's ERA to be 0.45 better than Strasberg, his WHIP to be 0.07 better than Stras, and those awesome ratios to count much more as you say Kershaw will pitch 70 more innings. You also have Kershaw winning 3.3 more games and striking out 41 more hitters. That's all well and good but how in the world do you then rank Strasburg as SP#2 and Kershaw SP#3?
I'm cool with Strasberg being ranked higher, he is on my own sheet but it's because my projected numbers support it, not some whim. You personally do an excellent job, I'm not griping, just wondering what the disconnect is. Different sources doing the projections and rankings? I guess it might be nice if it wasn't corrected. Some of us could really use the disconnect to our advantage. B-)

Cmon Bud, NOW is the time to sack up and force feed an Olympic style drug program down Fehr's fat throat. Save OUR game from these blatant cheaters!

Yasmani Grandal doesn't appear to be in the player pool. I know he's suspended, but shouldn't he still be draftable/keepable?
