Haven't studied enuff to know who this guy. Had MLB Tonight on earlier and Wild Thing was pimping him. Now I know who he is.

I'd be surprised if he returned positive value this year. Not that he couldn't do well, but he has some pretty big control problems to deal with. I think Dotel could end up being the guy to own in Detroit.

Entirely possible but I think Rondon will be given every opp until he shows he's not ready. Benoit is there as well.

Rondon manages to make Velvarde look svelt and that is hard to do.

As for the young guys, they generally add a bunch of them early in spring training.

I have a question that maybe only the Genie can answer.
I see one of the new changes in yahoo is this..

Continuous Waivers
Set all unowned players to be on waivers at all times and eliminate free agents

what specifically does this mean?
does this mean all players are in waiver priority, and you have to put in a waiver priority for everyone, and then wait the what 1-2 days for it to go through?
that really sucks! I personally had many many times where I would pick up a player I wanted the day before.
this change sucks, this sucks for streaming!

Profar has MLB experience but he didn't play either 2B or SS enough last year to gain either eligibility yet, so that makes sense. That's how Yahoo works.
Since Myers has never played in MLB, his eligibility is provided by Yahoo's service provider. The Genie is investigating because he's still listed as a KC player. Stay tuned.

It's a commissioner option only dude

It's something Yahoo rolled out in the middle of last year due to overwhelming interest in having it available. I think the best way to implement the new setting is to have waivers run daily.

What it does is essentially stop the "mad rush" that happens when news breaks in baseball, whether it be a closer change, a prospect callup, etc. The person that gets the now-valuable guy ends up being the person who can get there first, which is problematic for owners that work jobs that don't allow them that opportunity or are otherwise unavailable to add players at the drop of a hat. When you consider that oftentimes it's the same 2-3 people taking advantage of news throughout the year, it's easy to see that there can be a large gap in the quality of teams between otherwise similar owners just depending on their everyday situations.
