12 Team mixed keeper league with $260 in auction money. Each team keeps five players.
Standard 5 x 5 except OBP replaces AVG
2 C/1B/2B/3B/SS/5 OF/CI/MI/U
7 SP/3 RP
I've been offered Bautista for my Strasburg.
Each are $15 but Strasburg has one extra year of keeper eligibility.
Bautista probably sees the biggest leap of all players in OBP format. But the wrist injury is an obvious concern along with age. He is more likley to decline whereas Stras is just scratching the surface.
Do I take the deal straight up or ask for a bit more?

I would keep Strasburg i think washington play it right with him last year so he can be fully healthy this year and he has a amazing k rate and he is young and will be a top 10 SP for years to come(my opininon) and wrist injuries are a huge red flag for power hitters like bautista he isnt a good avg guy so if it hurts his hr swing than there r other power hitters u can find to give u hr numbers

Normally, you take the bat over the arm. However, with both being the same price and you get an extra year I'd keep Stras (what were your other keepers by the way?)

Healthy Bautista yes but coming off of wrist injury he could struggle with power which will make him try to over comp it which will lead to more K's which will bring his OBP down JS Im not saying he cant be the power house of old but at 32 and with the wrist injury(Wrist is a huge factor in ur power)he could have a down year this year

They are fairly even in value but I would prefer Bautista.

My other keepers are probably relevant to this discussion.
My next two best keepers are pitchers, Medlen ($5) and Scherzer ($9), which is a major factor in considering this offer. After that I'm keeping Carlos Santana and at minimum salary player like R Soriano or Frazier.

I think I might toss back Scherzer and keep both and end of discussion these are your best players and you have good value picks if you can keep Soriano for minimum.
