Just going to throw out a more vague topic here; but do I exert a little added value to an AL player whom I have the option to keep in an NL only keeper league? I'm struggling on whether to keep Fielder at $48. A lot less big 1B in the NL, and I have sole decision whether I have him, or no one gets him, ( I could trade him but his price tag of $48 is turning people off pre-draft). Keeping Fielder I'll have an average of $12.60 per position to fill; release and I am up to $16.50. Reply on the general sense or specific If you'd like, just throwing out a topic I find an interesting discussion in.
With the player pool being so much smaller and accounting for keeper inflation I could see Prince being worth close to that, it is quite a bit of money though. I also don't think 1B is that much weaker in the NL than the AL at this point, so I don't think that would influence my decision much. I assume it's a standard $260 budget?
Correct it's $260. The first ,and really only decent, 1B option left in our keeper league is Goldschmidt. Votto, A-gon, craig, Howard, freeman, Rizzo, davis all being kept. 1B will be thin. But does his exclusivity add any value to his name? especially in trade talks?
If Goldy is the only legit 1b available (Rochy etc gone too?) I think I'd probably keep him. Probably look better for you next year to get a long term 1b option in next year's draft. Who comes off contract for next season?
Though Goldy is a legit option.

The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
With the lack of depth at 1B in the NL, I would say that Fielder is probably worth it, albeit this is close to the highest value I would put on him. If you have the option to keep him, I would. It gives you a leg up on everyone else at the position.
