Dynasty league, I have the White Sox, just had our draft. 7x7 H2H with OBP, TB, Holds, QS also counted..
Been offered the following trade:
HIS Adrian Gonzalez, Matt Hague(Rookie), Aaron Harang, and Chris Perez for my Tim Lincecum, BJ Upton, Dale Thayer, and Yuniesky Betancourt. What do you think?
AGoz is a great talent yes. Why so many old fogeys on your team? heh. I think I'd deal all my veterans off for boatload of prospects and completely rebuild. Worth it? Yep.

The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
As good as Gonzalez is going to be i dont think it works in your favor and heres my reasoning
only upgrade ur getting is AGon but ur getting a rookie that i dont see doing much in the majors and Harang that is in a crowded starting pitching core and he is at the bottom of the barrel so dont see him being in the 5man rotation
I'm in the boat of not doing this deal. I'm bullish on Upton, and I think they're fairly close in value. So take those two out of the equation and you're getting Matt Hague(Rookie), Aaron Harang, and Chris Perez for my Tim Lincecum, Dale Thayer, and Yuniesky Betancourt.
Seems like you're selling pretty low on Lincecum. I think you should be able to do a bit better, especially if you hold onto Lincecum into the season and he performs well. Risky? Sure. But a much higher reward awaits you if you do so and it works out. And if not, you can probably get a similar package then as you are now.
He is doing that deal bc he most likely believes Lincecum will rebound and the move to ATL will take Upton to the next level if i were you id try to get more out of him than Harnang or Matt Hague
He replaced Hague with Jack Hannahan. Does that make you guys who don't think I should do it to go ahead and get AGon now? Not much of an upgrade I know but I do need a 3B since I have Morel there. Please help!
I take it. Not a fan of BJ Upton or Lincecum. The former is a strikeout artist who has never really stepped up to his hyped potential and kills your avg and the latter is a has been who likely blew out his arm at a young age. That is not to say Lincecum could not still make an adjustment and be decent, I just do not see a return to dominance. I would take A. Gonzalez and run. If you can get a decent closer out of it all the better.
Swapping in Hanrahan doesn't make it a deal to me. Yes Upton drags your average a little, but the countables are off the charts. I still hold out for more.
