8-team H2H ESPN league, scoring system can be found here: http://games.espn.go.com/flb/leaguesetu ... agueId=455 but basically it's very pitcher friendly. I have the first pick and can't decide for the life of me who I should take. We're in the first year of a 5-keeper league, and all the people I'm considering are young enough to most likely end up keeping. Here's who I'm considering:
Ryan Braun, Mike Trout, Andrew McCutchen, Robinson Cano, Miguel Cabrera.
My problem is I'm biased one way or another to almost every player. I have, and always will, hate Braun. Trout is one of my favorite young guys, but was last year an amazing fluke? McCutchen's a hometown player but I don't think he'll be as good as people expect. Cano is great but has a lot of pretty good pitching in his division and the Yankee lineup isn't the same without A. Rod and possibly Jeter. Cabrera just doesn't seem to be a top five pick to me, although he is certainly good.
Help? Leave a link and I'll leave my feedback on yours. Thanks!
My top three are Braun, MCab, and Trout in that order. Don't really think you can go wrong with any of them, but Braun is my preference. Not sure if that changes with your settings but I feel like those are the top three in pretty much any league.
What else van Miggy do to get you to like him. He is the most consistent hitter in 25 years. Braun, Miggy and Trout. But you would not do poorly with Cano or McCutchen
The best picks here are Braun and Cabrera of course.
If you hate Braun then do not take him. You want to win but also want to have fun.
Cabrera is probably your best bet.
However, if this is the first year of a five year keeper and you love Trout, then just take him. Sure he may not be as good as he was last year, but you will still get a very good player for a very long time.
I love Cano, but he is a little older and not as good as the others you mentioned, you would only be taking him based on his position.
I know no one will agree with this and you didn't mention him but I actually like Matt Kemp. I think he will be the best overall player this year. That's just my opinion though. I wouldn't draft him ahead of Cabrera, Braun and Trout but i would rather pick 4th so I wouldn't have to
Braun is first, but you hate him, so take 1A in Miggy. Everyone loves Trout, we all know that. The issue is a small sample size of one yr. I would simply go Miggy. Cano and McCutch would be a bad choice.
