Hi, I am looking for keeper advice for my team this year. I am in a 10 team mixed 5x5 (we are moving to Quality Starts instead of Wins this year).
We are a $260 auction league. I have some good value players and can keep up to FIVE (5) players. I am trying to decide from among the following:
Yadier Molina, StL C - $5 Jacoby Ellsbury, Bos OF - $27 Ryan Howard, Phi 1B - $5 Lucas Duda, NYM 1B, OF - $5 David Ortiz, Bos DH - $8 Victor Martinez, Det C, DH - $5 (eligible at C?) James Shields, TB SP - $10 Ian Kennedy, Ari SP - $10 Matt Moore, TB SP - $13 Ryan Vogelsong, SF SP - $7 Stephen Strasburg, Wsh SP - $7 Anibal Sanchez, Det SP - $8
I have some thoughts on this clearly but would like to just get your opinions without leading you.
Which 5 would you keep?
Thanks!!!!

i'd keep Strasburg, Matt Moore, and maybe Ellsbury - not sure on him.
i don't think Vmart is eligible at C yet.
I would think QS puts lets emphasis on drafting a pitcher on a good teams- probably ups the value of guys like Garza, and Samardjia- anyone on the lousy Cubs, Twins, Mets, etc.

Which 5 would you keep? Will VMart be eligible at C (and would you keep him either way at that price)? How might QS versus W affect your thinking?
Thanks!!!!
I agree KELLYLEAK on QS thoughts
I am choosing more of your Ps here because your hitters even at low prices have not enough upside to lead me to drop a Shields or Moore; Ellsbury is a for sure no way to me.
Hope this helped and didn't hinder; I usually try to pick the best talent then examine cost
Yadier Molina, StL C - $5 Jacoby Ellsbury, Bos OF - $27 Ryan Howard, Phi 1B - $5 Lucas Duda, NYM 1B, OF - $5 David Ortiz, Bos DH - $8 Victor Martinez, Det C, DH - $5 (eligible at C?) Awfully tempted to keep Ortiz or Martinez but I couldn't justify either one over better players with great contracts. Really it could be a coin flip between Howard, Ortiz and VMart but I would probably lean towards Howard rather than a DH or a catcher.

Most people will say Moore is a definite pick but I think he's still a year or two from becoming what he ultimately can. Shields and Kennedy churn out QS like nothing. That's how I'd roll.
Thanks for the initial thoughts - they are similar to mine so far.
I feel pretty solid on: Strasburg $7 Shields $10 Moore $13
Kennedy at $10 still seems good to me, but I kept these exact 4 SP last year and was like 4th best pitching team
So basically, the 3 pitchers above are locks so I need TWO (2) players among: Y. Molina or VMart for $5 (leaning towards $5) R. Howard $5 Ortiz $8 Ian Kennedy $10
Thoughts anyone?
Happy to return favor

I don't think Kennedy is a good option for you when you have 3 other keepable SP's. He' clearly #4 on that list and since you can only keep 5 you need some bats. If V-Mart isn't C eligible in your league, I would keep Molina. But you need to go HEAVY on the offense in this draft, be prepared to spend money on that OF and IF.
Outside of three pitchers that you prefer to keep, I would keep V-Mart and Howard. If V-Mart was not eligible at catcher, I would keep Molina, but since he is, I feel like he will be better.
