Have any of you used this category (Saves + Holds) in a roto league? We're implementing it this year in place of saves. I'm excited about it because it should add value to lots of setup guys, and stop some of the closer craziness. I'd love to hear about your experiences if you're familiar with it.

I've played in 6x6 with Holds and it is pretty awful. I'm really hoping yahoo does the sv+holds this year though because I think it would be wonderful. You want to make good RP value and keep bad RP not very valuable. Adding holds as a 6th stat just makes all pitching less valuable since suddenly every pitcher stinks in 2 of 6 categories even if they are elite.
I've been meaning to make a post about this, but kept forgetting. I mentioned something last year in the closers thread, asking what people thought about SOLDS. I think it's a great idea. usually when a closer either gets injured or loses his job, the people who benefit are the ones who can get to the waivers the quickest.
My dynasty league is considering adding saves + holds - blown saves. I'm still on the fence. I don't like the idea of a hold being worth as much as a save. I assume middle relievers/setup men have more blown saves than closers so maybe this is the way to go?

There was an article recently ranking all SOLDS guys last year and like 21 of the top 25 (and like 24 of the top 30 or so) were closers so theres still value on being a closer
