Hamels has been one of my favorite MLB players and I've been lucky to have him on my dynasty roster. However, Hamels turns 29 this year and 30 is an age at which a player loses value significantly in dynasty leagues. To prevent this, I am inclining towards trading Hamels. At the moment, I have been offered the following trade:
Hamels and Rickie Weeks for Tyler Skaggs, Eric Hosmer, and Kimbrel.
Should I accept this offer or should I wait for something better? Please give your opinion on this. Your help is greatly appreciated.
I don't think that is an awful offer, but I also think you could get more value in a one-for-one or two-for-one deal involving Hamels. He is still a top 10 SP.
It is hard to recommend whether or not to make the move, since I don't know what else you have in terms of a rotation. Based on what you have given us, my advice is to hold Hamels or at the very least to solicit more offers in the hopes of getting better value.

You get the best closer by far. You get 2 top young guys. Even if Hosmer/Skaggs bust, Kimbrel is Hamels equal, and younger. Maybe you can get more, but i like it.

I would hold on to Cole here, or at least test the waters to see if there is a better deal. Kimbrel is great, but I dont think this is the deal I would give up Hamels in if I were going to trade him at all. I see at least 3 more dominant seasons from Hamels and possibly more.
