Looking for a higher stakes baseball in NY/NJ/Long Island

Myself and two long time friends are looking to go in on a higher stakes league. Keeper leagues are welcome as are fresh draft leagues.

We live in queens/long island. I would want to meet in person and get references from other members. I would also want a league that would give some sort of protection on our fees since we would be new. Just trying to prevent being scammed.

I had a league lined up but I'm not sure it's happening so I am looking for something now. Been looking for over a year now.

Guess you didn't see my post....starting a new league on Long Island and will have a LIVE draft on the island. Here are the particulars. I have about 6 openings, so you and your friends would be a good fit:

Keeper
Salary Cap
Cost roughly $200 (could be more but not much more)
Daily lineup settings
Multiple Minor League spots

We have approximately 6 owners so far cemented in. Once we have all 14 owners, we will COLLECTIVELY discuss all rules and VOTE using majority ruling to determine which rules are implemented. Looking to have a LIVE - in person draft somewhere on Long Island!

Ok I can respect that. Just as more info, the league fee may be $250. We will vote once we have 14 teams. Also, 5 of us are from a league that recently folded and we are all die-hard very knowledgeable baseball fans. We also range in age from early 20's to 40's with more than half of us so far being business professionals with families. I know it doesn't mean much but figured to throw it out there. I am in Manhattan and have run a 5x5 roto league for several years. Its a 12 team league and entry is 1,000 per team. We hold an online draft and run the league on CBS. The league is very active and competitive and we want owners looking for that type of league.
