I posted a trade offer a few days ago, but things have evolved, so I'm starting a new thread and would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
I'm in a Y! 10-team 5x5 mixed keeper league (standard scoring). We can keep 5 players each year, and players can be kept for 5 consecutive years before they have to go back to the draft. My keepers are currently:
Cargo (2 years left: 2013, 2014) Stanton (3 years left: 2013 - 2015) Strasburg (4 years left: 2013 - 2016) Hamels (3 years left: 2013 - 2015) Tulowitzki (1 year left: 2013)
Would you do either of these trades...and if so, which one would you prefer?
My Hamels for his Hanley Ramirez (4 years left: 2013 - 2016) My Hamels, Cargo and Tulo for his Hanley and McCutch (2 years left: 2013, 2014)
Thanks for your input. Leave a link and I'll reply.

What if he added Gio Gonzalez (4 years) to his side? I get Hanley, McCutch and Gio for Hamels, Hanley and Cargo. He isn't going to keep Gio anyway, so it's no loss to him.
Much closer, but I think I'd still pass. Cargo and Cutch are basically a toss up, but I like Hamels a decent bit more than Gio and Tulo much more than Hanley. The extra years don't make it worth it imo.

Agree with all of this. First deal is ok but I think I would rather have Hamels. Plus you don't need a SS so this doesn't help you all that much. The second deal even with Gio isn't good enough. I still think Tulo is a top 15 player and Cargo is a top 15 player. Thats an awful lot for McCutchen (who is a top 15 guy as well) and Hanley who has been too inconsistent the past few years. Drop Cargo out of the first deal and it is a lot closer.

I would do the Hamels for Ramirez deal but than u should see what u can get for Tulo Ramirez is (in my opinion) going to have a Ramirez of old type season i think his move to LA was what he needed and Phillies and getting really old and look what happened to Lee last year could easly happen to hamels (thou i dont see that happening) but Tulo and Ramirez r the same type talent but Ramirez can play 3B as well
Hamels for Hanley I might do that as well. You can always play with them both *use one at SS or the other at MI or Hanley at 3b. I'm thinking it might be wisest to use both because of Tulos injury risk.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
