I am not a fan of keeping a closer. Mauer is never going to hit 22 HRs but his BA for a C is huge. I would try and find closers in your draft and as we saw last yr, closer change all season long and you can find a couple guys on waivers if you are on top of things.

This is the absolute only closer I'd keep and you should keep him too.
He isn't just a closer, he is on a different level
Absolutely no way I'd keep Mauer over him, especially with Santana available

Choose 9 guys who we can possibly keep at the end of the year. I traded Zobrist for picks in the draft and my other option is Halladay.

Who else besides Kimbrel/Mauer/Halladay do you have to choose from? Do you have a decent 3b or another OF or a younger but good SP? Just wondering. If you don't I guess I'd keep Kimbrel and draft Santana that or get another stud 3b (best available ADP 3b if one exists)

Keep Kimbrel, but I wouldn't necessarily draft Santana first. 3B should be something you address quickly.

3B that are available: Headley, A.Ramirez, Freese, Sandovol, Prado There are only 3 guys without a 3B so I should be ok waiting on one of them.

I don't like the idea of using a keeper spot on a closer but Kimbrel is the best player at his position and from this group. I wouldn't expect big things from Mauer either...only 22hrs in the 3 seasons since his 28hr campaign and he's a major injury risk. At the same time I don't trust Santana especially as a first rd pick. I'd hate to use my keeper spot on him, but the safe pick her is Kimbrel.
