So, I am in a 16 team fantasy league h2h. 9x9 cats. R 2B 3B HR RBI SB BB K AVG and W L QS HLD SV K ERA WHIP HR.
It is a contract league, nut no auction for draft.
I like my team this year, so am starting to look at the future as well. I have all offensive positions locked up for at least three seasons except catcher. 5 of my 8 SPs are also locked up for at least 3 years. No RP are locked up beyond 2014.
So, for long term goals, I am looking for a catcher. So this post is twofold.
1) Are there any promising prospects that were drafted in the last ML draft?
2) I am exploring a trade for a catcher.
My two most promising options are: Ryan Lavarnaway and Wilin Rosario. Both have identical contracts of (600k, 800k, 1m, 1.2m, 1.5). The owner has told me that Rosario will be more expensive (obviously) and that Lavarnaway would be relatively easy to have.
We have not begun to discuss specifics yet, but I want to figure out which is my best option.
If I go the trade route, what is a good offer for me to make?
Mike Montgomery Dan Vogelbach Eric Surkamp Matt Szczur Sonny Gray Trevor Bauer
So, I am interested in moving one of Lincecum or Cruz to shed a little payroll. I am open to anything really. I don't want to list his whole team, but long story short, he has Gamel at 1b, which i think he could use a 1B and I have Swisher and Morneau as possibilities there for potential trades. I am also interested in helping build my minors, so here are the roster players of his I like and all his prospects:
Mike Minor (2/2) Eric O'Flaherty (2/2) Matt Lindstrom (2/2) Kelvin Herrera (P) Johnathan Singleton (1B) Taijuan Walker (SP) Kolten Wong (2B) Rymer Liriano (OF) Edward Salcedo (3B) Blake Swihart (C) Nestor Molina(SP) Nick Franklin (SS) Jake Marisnick (SP) Zach Lee (SP) Wily Peralta (SP) Casey Kelly (SP) Julio Teheran Martin Perez (SP) Danny Hultzen (SP) Zach Wheeler (SP) Nolan Arenado (3B) Phillippe Aumont (P) Neftali Soto (1B) Christian Yelich (OF) Matt Barnes (SP) Brian Goodwin (OF) Jed Bradley (SP)
So, to recap:
What would be a good deal for Rosario for me? Like I said, he needs 1B so I can offer Swisher or Morneau. I also wouldn't mind giving up Lincecum for Minor and a couple of prospects or Cruz for something that includes prospects. Any ideas?
Or should I focus on Lavarnaway who will be a lot cheaper in a trade? Maybe Lavarnaway and a couple of prospects for a 1B or salary reprieve?
I may be able to also get Lavarnaway as cheap as a draft pick. If so, what is the earliest round I should give up?

Sure thing. My posts tend to be long, so I didn't want to overwhelm people more then I had to lol.
Here is his offense:
C: Wilin Rosario (600k/800k/1m/1.2/1.5), Ryan Lavarnaway (600k/800k/1m/1.2/1.5) 1B: Matt Gamel (2/3) 2B: Utley (8m plus 10m option), Kelly Johnson (3/3) 3B: David Wright (11/11/11/11/13.75m option), Jed Lowrie (800k) SS: Alexei Ramirez (5/5/5/5) LF: Brett Gardner (6/6/6/7.5m option), Michael Brantley (2/2) CF: Ben Revere (2/2), Ryan Kalish (3/3/3), Carlos Gomez (2/2/3m option) RF: Matt Joyce (2/2) Lucas Duda (4/4/4)
Does his Jed Lowrie have SS eligibility (he should..) you need SS depth bad.
I was thinking of offering Werth and a mid tier prospect for his Rosario and Lowrie so that will net you a catcher and a decent SS so you can kinda sit on Cozart and hope he comes out maybe like JJ Hardy...whicih he has that potential.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
