Lawrie vs. Goldschmidt

Postby wkpdpack » Sat Feb 02, 2013 7:07 pm

12 team keeper league
5x5 roto scoring
Keep any 7 at no cost or loss of draft pick
Can also keep up to 5 minor league bench players

Current 7 keepers:
R. Braun
A. McCutchen
G. Stanton
C. Santana
B. Lawrie
S. Castro
P. Sandoval or Cl. Lee (pitcher)

I've been offered Goldschmidt for my Lawrie. Do I accept that trade? Both have high upside but Goldschmidt has proven it a bit more so far...Lawrie plays at 3B which might be a bit harder to fill later on in the draft...

Also, if nothing changes do I keep Cl. Lee (pitcher) over Sandoval. I'm currently trying to move Lee and Sandoval for an upgrade to either one of those guys.

Thanks for the help! Leave a link and I'll help you.

Tough to say without knowing what the draft depth at 1B and 3B is. On the surface, I really like the trade. I'm big on Goldschmidt this year. Trading Lawrie means probably keeping Sandoval.

C Santana
SS Castro
3b Lawrie
OF R. Braun, A. McCutchen, G. Stanton
SP Lee

Makes for a solid set of keepers. You can acquire a good 1b in draft no problem.
I could understand a list of Santana Goldy Panda that unholy trinity in the OF and Lee of course...which still would be very solid. You would NOT be faulted for doing the deal. I have a hard time seeing no good 1b available in the draft though.

It seems as if people are bigger on Goldy this year, but I prefer Lawrie. He is hitting in a much better lineup and will have way more opportunities to knock in RBIS.

Help me?
