G. Stanton Trade Question

Postby roolgol90 » Sat Feb 02, 2013 5:02 pm

I am in a 14 team points league that is in dynasty format with a big minor league system. This upcoming year will be the sixth season of the league. I have been offered an interesting G. Stanton trade:

I GET: Giancarlo Stanton
I GIVE: Brett Anderson, Jurrickson Profar, and two low-level 'spects

This is a no-brainer trigger-pull, right?

Below is my team.

C-POSEY
1B-VOTTO
2B-INFANTE
3B-MIGGY
SS-ANDRUS
OF-CARGO, BRUCE, HART, A. SORIANO
UTIL-LONGO, FREEMAN, T. FRAZIER

SP-LESTER, HANSON, HARRELL, NORRIS, QUINTANA, ZIMMERMAN, BRITTON, B. ANDERSON, M. MOORE, PEAVY
RP-BAILEY, STOREN, R. SORIANO, B. WILSON

I agree. Stanton has already shown what he can do. Do it before he decided to withdraw.

It sucks seeing as you don't have a legit 2b on your team other than a placeholder in Infante. Profar is your 2b of the future...however, you get a top 3 round talent top 10 OF in Stanton for chump change....Yes you do it....NOW!

I'd look to deal maybe Hart for a 2b if you can get it done.

yeah i'd definitely do that. Stanton is a stud- Profar is a very good prospect, but Stanton is the best player in this deal. With your powerful lineup- you won't need a 2b. What a powerhouse lineup posey, votto, miggy, cargo, bruce, stanton- it's like you have multiple players from the top 4 rounds- well done!
