How awesome is he going to play this year, right? Another year in the AL, Trout on base and Hamilton protecting him. He's going to light it up this season, in my opinion. He'll be drafted mid first but I can see him producing like the first overall pick.

And the fact that is OBP has declined the last 4 years. His SLG% has dropped that last 3 years. He's swinging at more balls, walking less and striking out more. Pretty obvious decline if you ask me.
I think he tried too hard to justify his big contract last year and he'll have a better year in 2013. Either he or Cano should be the 3rd pick in an AL only league.
I'm on the fence with Pujols. I have him in a keeper league and I am hoping that he performs year long in 2013 how he performed in the latter part of the 2012 season. I posted an article, in another Pujols Post, about his obvious stat decline over the last few years and that does make me think that he should continue that downward trend. Last years strong finish does give me irrational hope though.
I like Pujols this year, I think he will rebound nicely. He's a bit riskier than I'd usually like to go with a first round pick, I'm usually more focused on a player's floor there than his ceiling, but I'd probably be willing to roll the dice with Albert.
Wow that announcing is horrible. But after watching that I'm pretty sure I'm agreeing with the he's in decline crowd. But his last April was so bad even if his decline continues he could still put up better numbers with Hamilton behind him. From May on he was a .300 hitter with a 30+HR pace.
