i think you answered your own question. if your willing to take tulo over any of those guys then why not take zimm. tulos a prime injury prone labeled player at a weak position, but if he plays he's really good. if it was me i'd probably go upton, bruce, and zimm. not crazy about zimm either but the drop off seems less drastic at 1b than 3b. adrian gonzalez's power drop off is a concern imo.

I'd count on Zimmerman to play 130-140 games per year. Taking him first makes the most sense to me. And I think Goldschmidt is going to have a monster year.

Upton
Weaver
Zimmerman
AGonz is close but I think over the next 3 years his value declines and the three above all go up.

Well i think Tulo is just as injury prone as Zimm but whatever. Your right, when Tulo plays he's the top ranked at his position- Zimm is not. Zimm might be the 7th ranked 3b going into this year, but Beltre and Aramis are like 35 yrs old- sooner or later they're numbers are going to come down. Hell Beltre had a career year last year. To assume those ranking stay the same for the next 3 years is a big "what if" imo.
Bottom line would you rather have a team like Goldschmidt & Zimm for the next 3 years or Adrian Gonzalez & a lower tier 3b. Whatever team you like best that's the way you should go.

alot of love for bruce huh? ok question if a trade occurs where bruce and adrian end up getting kept (very likely) who are the top 3? clearly upton seems to be the favorite but what about the other 2?
