I adopted an absolutely awful dynasty team, 8-team league. After a bunch of trading, I am left with: SP: Garza, Parker, Latos, Moore RP: Chapman C: Y. Molina 1B: Rizzo, Encarnacion, Teixeira 2B: Phillips 3B: N/A SS: Andrus OF: CarGo
I have made improvement, but the problem is I am left with the #1 pick, then no picks until round 6. Obviously my team isn't built to contend this season, but I'm thinking next year could be one of contending.
So, with my #1 pick, do I go for: BJ Upton, Manny Machado, Tim Lincecum, Trevor Bauer, or Wil Myers? I don't want to let one of the upside guys like Machado, Bauer, or Myers slip through my fingers because I'm not sure they'll be there in round 6 and I'm building for the future, but I'm torn.
I would def take Upton here, his countables would be a huge addition to your team. And in an 8-team league, you never know, you could end up having a chance if you draft well...
Trade Tex for a draft pick or two or a pick and a young SP arm (maybe Medlen?) Manny Machado is the way I'd go myself, though common logic you take the best available player which in this case is Upton.
Does E-5 still carry 3b eligbility he might carry it for one more season in some leagues.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
Unfortunately Edwin only has 1B eligibility this season, and nobody in my league wants Tex. Tried that already! It looks like I'm stuck with what I have at this point.
