Cruz and Gonzalez don't surprise me that much either just because of their injury issues. I think a lot of time injury is what leads guys to taking PEDs.

Yes, that is in line with the last agreement between players and owners.
There is WAAAAYYYYYY too much money to be made for guys to quite trying to get an advantage somehow. All it takes is 1 or 2 good seasons and you will get a huge contract....even if you do eventually get caught. There is every incentive in the world to juice up and almost none to not juice up.

Gio has been pretty healthy for awhile. I understand your point since it's easier to recover from an injury with steroids but I also think that taking steroids leads to more injuries. Increased muscle mass but usually decreased flexibility.

And this is the problem. Either make the punishments more severe or this is what baseball will continue to be. I say hit them in the wallet more and allow teams the option of voiding the contract and suspend players for a year on first offense. Harsh, potentially unfair and will probably never happen, but if what's in place now isn't working then change will come eventually.
