Postby beisbol4ever94928 » Sat Jan 26, 2013 5:05 am

Note: I am still in the middle of the draft: Focusing mainly on bench, prospects at this point.

Eric Surkamp
Matt Szcur
Sonny Gray

Like I said, I am still in the process of finishing up the draft but this is pretty much where I stand right now heading into the season. May add a RP or two still and I like one more SP. Probably a backup C.

I have been approached about trading Freese, who will pretty much be a bench player on ym team, so I am interested in possibly trading him to strengthen another area.

Here are the players from the team showing the most interest.

C: JP Arenciba (3/3/3)
1B: Kendrys Morales (4/4/4 +option)
Ryan Howard (7 +option)
Matt Adams (600k/800k/1m/1.2m/1.5m)
2B: Reuben Tejada (3/3 +option)
3B: Scott Rolen (1.4m)
Yan Gomez (4/4 +option)
SS: Elvis Andrus (9/9/9/9/9)
Brandon Crawford (800k/1.8m)
LF: Logan Morrison (6/6/6/6)
Ryan Ludwick (1.4m)
CF: BJ Upton (7/7/7/7)
Grady Sizemore (3m +option)
Colby Rasmus (4/4)
RF: Jay Bruce (9/9/9/9/9)
Chris Heisey (2/2 +option)
Trayvon Robinson (2m)
SP: Clayton Kershaw (16/16/16/16/16)
Chasd Billingsley (3/3 +option)
Jarrod Parker (600k/800k/1m/1.2m/1.5m)
Henderson Alvarez (3/3)
Jhoulys Chacin (4/4)
Tsuyoshi Wada (6m +option)
Michael Pineida (5/5/5)
Rubby de la Rosa (600k/800k/1m/1.2m/1.5m)
RP: Sergio Santos (4/4/4)
Tony Cigrani (4/4/4/4 +option)
Jim Johnson (2/2 +option)
Kenley Jansen (5/5/5/5/5)
Andrew Bailey (5/5/5)
Gerardo Conception (5/5/5/5/5)
Prospects: Austin Hedges (C)
Jonathan Schoop (2B)
Billy Hamilton (2B)
Joe Terdoslavich (3B)
Nick Castellanos (3B)
Trevor Story (SS)
Larry Greene (OF)
Yorman Rodriguez (OF)
Donovan Tate (OF)
Wil Myers (OF)
Trevor Bauer (SP)
Tyler Skaggs (SP)
Jameson Taillon (SP)
Gerritt Cole (SP)
Dillon Maple (SP)
Dylan Axelrod (SP)
Archie Bradley (SP)

So, I am trying to figure out who to ask for for Freese. Should I target some RP help? I am pretty good on SP, but in the end I guess one can never have too much pitching. Or, am I better served getting a couple of prospects? Or, should I keep Freese?

Leave a link and I will help where I can. :)

Can you cut guys?
Valverde 6/6 is terrible
Your closers are old. He is loaded in prospects, you need some.
I doubt he trades Myers or Hamilton, but you could try.
If not those 2, try Cole/Bauer
Jansen isn't closing, but he should get saves with the bum League there.

Yeah, I am concerned with the closers. I should have mentioned the league also counts saves. I was considering asking for Jansen and Bauer but am concerned about Jansen and his heart. Do you think Jansen stays healthy long term or even short term?
