Trade question?

Postby FooteNasty » Fri Jan 25, 2013 8:11 pm

Was offered Texeira and Josh Hamilton for Joey Votto? What do you guys think? It's a keeper league, and both of them would instantly become 2 of my 3 keepers on my team. . .

Who are they knocking out of the two keeper spots?

Without knowing anything else, I'd keep Votto.

SS - Danny Espinoza
OF - Adam Jones
OF - Josh Willingham
OF - Shin-Soo Choo
OF - Austin Jackson
OF - Nick Swisher

I definitely see why Votto is tradeable.....

I wouldnt want/take Tex over many of those below e.g. Butler, Freeman, Lawrie, Jones. I like all better than him.

That being said, Id do better. I like Hamilton but he is a huge health risk and 32 now

Hammy may regress with pressure in LA, plus he is a head case and injury prone and on the wrong side of 30, Tex is basically a .so/so average 30hr hitter now

help with mine?

I don't think 1B is your problem lol, you have many other glaring holes. 32 isn't old and I would never bet against The Natural. With that said I wouldn't be afraid to move Votto having Butler and Freeman, however I don't think I'd take Tex back. I would buy low on Hamilton and try to get a better big bat at one of your weaker positions and/or possibly an arm
