Trumbo is an interesting case.
I would say he has to start the season somewhere.
but what if he isn't hitting? would he then be replaced by some else, Bourjous maybe?
it might seem like a stretch based on his overall 2013 numbers, but his numbers in the 2nd half last year were brutal.
1st half- .306/.358/.608/.965/ 22 HR
2nd half - .227/.271/.359/.630/ 10 HR
even worse considering what he did in August and September.
August - .204/.263/.287/.550/ 3 HR
September - .183/.205/.296/.501/ 2 HR

Right now I believe Trumbo is the DH and Bourjos is the starting CF. Trumbo's second half was awful, but with the other option being Vernon Wells, I'm pretty sure he'll have some rope to start the season. I think he's still got 30 HR power at least, though the average probably won't be great.

Pablo will give you a better average but Trumbo, even with his awful second half will provide more power and probably more RBI. Although its hard to really compare the two because of position eligibility.

The scales tip to Trumbo IMO because he has an amazing lineup around him. If he doesn't put up close to 100RBI this season I would be surprised. He will be cleaning up every time Pujols and Hamilton get walked ahead of him.

Yea i'm starting to really think so too. I mean he had an insane first half without Hamilton, and if memory serves me correctly Pujols got hot after the break?? Not sure on that but either way Trumbo went beserk, and yes then tailed off mightily but the power is there, a line up with 3 30+ hrs and 100+ RBI guys in a row is mighty scary.

Trumbo hasnt even peaked yet, batting behind pujols AND hamilton is huge for him, i see a .260 35HR 110 rbi season, huge bargain where hes being ranked in drafts coming in this year

Trumbo has some nice position eligibility as well.
