How soon should someone like Matt Moore go? I have no pitchers (other than Bundy in the prospect draft) and will be picking soon in the 4th round (54th overall) and really want him. Pretty sure that would be too early in a 10 or 12 team draft, but not sure if it makes more sense in a 16 team where pitching is obvisouly going to be more scarce. I understand that EVERYTHING will be more scarce, but not sure how it affects where you take pitchers since I haven't done a draft with this many teams.

It sounds a little early for my tastes (I owned him last yeat in my keeper league and got a good feel for him). To me though a better guage would be what other pitchers are available besides Moore at that slot? Who are you passing on to grab him that high?

Yeah, I figure he'll go in the 5th or maybe 6th. Of course, since I pick near the end of the 5th he might not be around for my next pick. But there are plenty of good picks to be made without reaching I suppose.

Are you saying that it's a reach, or saying that I SHOULD reach?

I think it is definitely a reach. Is he the best pitcher available?

Seems a bit early, but if you are desperate for pitching like it seems and there isn't anybody better, it wouldn't be a horrible pick.
Help with mine, please?

Well, I didn't take him. didn't love any of the other pitchers either. So hoepfully he's be there in the next round where I won't pass on him at 75 overall.
