Broxton signed for 3 years/21 million, he'll have a decent leash.

Yep, he actually got that much despite being basically a cast off for the last few years. I guess the Reds can spend on a closer now since they're a good team (The Cordero one when they were still bad was even more nuts) but I wouldn't sign Broxton for 3 years.
On the other hand, it does wonders for his job security - too expensive to get demoted until he's Heath Bell bad.
I've been tracking the draft vs. some consensus rankings to get an idea of projected standings. I downloaded these from fantasypros.com a couple of weeks ago, so they have not been updated with any of the latest developments like Carpenter being out, etc. Some of them seem pretty terrible, but at least they're neutral. I have the draft results entered through round 20, but even still, we have some teams who have drafted all their hitters, and GF has filled out his pitching, so getting an idea of how teams stack up still doesn't make much sense. I'll repost when everyone is full. so for now, this will give you an idea what areas you are strong or weak in. Y'all can kiss batting average goodbye.

It's seems they gave him that huge contract so they would force themselves to start Aroldis. Almost like they didnt trust themselves not to waffle back and forth so they gave Broxton closer money so they had to use him as a closer. Using marshall would have been the way to go. They could have spent that money much better
I took Fujikawa, without knowing too much about him, just having read an article or two. It was more an Anti-Marmol pick. Marmol is erratic, the cubs have tried to trade him during the offseason and he had some off the field issues this winter to boot. I can easily see him out of a job early in the season.
