On a similar tangental note, I'm also a die-hard Clippers fan, so its nice to see my guys finally have a product that could be mentioned in the same breath as the big boys. Having said all that, its a riot watching the Lakers implode -- have an eerily similar feeling that the Dodgers will as well. Greinke in a big city = trouble. A lot of expectations coupled with some aging oft injured vets - not loving the recipe.
Re: Dodgers - I'm expecting a mild disaster of some kind after taking the heart of what ailed the Red Sox and making it part of their core. They will be an interesting team to watch no matter what.
I think they could definitely explode. There wasn't much thought to assembling their team, it was more just go out and see how much money you can throw at players and what could you give teams to get big names. They already announced that Mattingly will be a lame duck manager this year, so thats a good start to the possible melt down. If they get off to a slow start watch for the Phil Jackosn rumors to start.

I considered Halladay at my last pick but I don't want to overdo pitching and I was in dire need of steals. The dropoff at 2B was too big to ignore. One down year and he falls 3+ rounds, he could be a great pick.

You guys are tough. I'm within the limitations of the draft easily, and make 2 picks. Had to work a double and I don't have internet access. Anyways, nice pick on Crawford, he's worth the risk there.
If we can get 2 rounds in today, then we will be almost back on track for a round per day. All we need is a little commitment. Remember: "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!" OK, now let's get this thing in gear.
I took Pence in round 6 in hopes that I could get Asdrubal Cabrera or Elvis Andrus on the way back. I'm fine with either, but prefer Cabrera. Nice pick GiantsFan.
I like the medlen & gordon picks this round so far. Medlen can easily end up a top 10 pitcher this year. I would like to have waited until next round to get victorino, but I didn't think he would be there 17 picks from now. He has a very fitting power & speed combo for fenway park.

I was seriously considering him for my next pick. O well !

I think Medlen has ace type stuff if he can get 200 + innings. I like him a lot. In the other cafe mock he went 60 overall (probably a reach) but I'm happy to get him at 88 overall here.
